Hot on the heels of the BMW X1, the M35i is rapidly dropping camouflage, getting ready for the imminent launch date.
After the fairly successful launch of the X1 in May of this year, the BMW X1 M35i is coming to add more flavor to an already hot car. The crossover is getting a sporty, aggressive design, with more power under the hood.
You can easily catch some important design updates at first glance; a new rear bumper was installed to accommodate the modified quad exhaust pipes, and way above them, we also have a more prominent roof spoiler.

Now, after taking a closer look we see the addition of some vertical bars in the lower grille, creating a more dramatic front design when coupled with the more pronounced angles towards the bottom, the rest is business as usual. It’s worth noting that certain details are still under light camouflage, perhaps hiding some carbon fiber elements underneath.
BMW didn't promise much for the M35i interior, customers should expect the standard X1 cabin with its 10.25-inch driver display and a 10.7-inch center display, perhaps with sportier seats or a thicker steering wheel.
Engine-wise, the M35i will run on a modified version of the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, coming from M135 1 Series. The engine makes 315 horsepower, a significant increase from the 241-hp currently pushing the X1 base model.

As things stand right now, it’s fairly reasonable to expect a full reveal before 2022 is out, giving us the chance to discover more details about the sports version of the BMW X1.
