Lexus is still holding on to the ES, giving it a new facelift, complete with a new touchscreen, infotainment system, and a full sports package.
Lexus is offering a lot of special treats for future buyers in the new ES. The 2023 model will have a new standard infotainment system, voice control, and a touchscreen, as part of a redesigned interior, in addition to an optional special sports package that includes both design and technical features.
Lexus didn’t share any pictures of the newly redesigned interior, preferring to keep it secret for now. So meanwhile, we have to trust the company’s written description.
The 2023 ES will get a redesigned center console, a new sunglass holder, a redesigned and relocated cup holder, and a new available wireless charger. If we consider the other recent Lexus offerings as a guide, we can assume that the new ES got rid of some old features like the infotainment control trackpad, while changing the placement of the cup holder and the wireless phone charger to more convenient and accessible places, instead of just throwing everything behind the shift lever.

The new touchscreen is designed to make the driver’s life easier; you don’t have to “touch” it, just say the magic word “hey Lexus” and voice control gets activated. The screen is a high resolution, eight inches across, for the standard option, but it can be extended to 12.3 inches for the premium version. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come as standard as well.
Now for the more exciting part, for buyers who wish to add more flavor to their cars, Lexus is offering the F Sport Design Package and the F Sport Handling Package. And yes, they are the same packages we saw a few weeks ago on the Lexus IS. The F Sport Design bundle includes a unique front bumper and grille surround, rear spoiler, and exclusive 19-inch, gloss black split-five-spoke alloys plus an Intuitive Park Assist. This option will be available for all ES trims (250 AWD, 350, and 300h).
F Sport Handling Package, however, will be exclusive to the ES 350 and ES 300h versions. This option offers two extra drive modes, Sport+ and Custom, to manage the F Sport adaptive suspension, plus a heated F Sport steering wheel, Hadori aluminum trim, aluminum pedals, and a black headliner. The F Sport Handling Package comes also with two exclusive paint colors, Ultra White and Ultrasonic Blue Mica, added to the standard 11 colors palette offered with the standard version.
