Ford Bronco2024 ford bronco raptor code orange package

Ford celebrates Bronco’s birthday with a host of new upgrades and color schemes, including a code orange trim package.

When it comes to cars, birthdays are always happy occasions, that’s when we really get to see the latest styling trends. 58 is the age at which Ford decided that the Bronco deserved an extravagant celebration. Car lovers have nothing to complain about because now we got to see the new Bronco in brand-new colors.

The Code Orange Package

Don’t be alarmed, Code Orange doesn’t mean Ford spilled buckets of orange paint over the vehicle, no. The special edition got very pronounced orange trims instead. Notably on the tow hooks, beadlock rings on the wheels, and most importantly, a large checkerboard graphic covering the rear of the SUV.

It is hard to ignore how well the new color blends in with the original orange headlights. This color scheme is available with any color except for Hot Pepper Red, for obvious reasons. The orange paint spills out into the interior as well, covering the seat belts. However, this is exclusive for the cars finished in Black Onyx or blue and Black Onyx interior.

If you think orange on a dark body is too much contrast for your taste, Ford is not willing to spoil the celebration for you, the company has multiple color choices, including a more tame version with body-colored fender flares. And they are also resurrecting the popular Shelter Green and Velocity Blue color schemes.

Are the new upgrades exclusive to the Raptor?

The new 2024 Bronco Raptor is priced at $90,000. In case the price is a bit out of your budget, Ford has another tempting offer for you. Now, with Ford Performance, you can update your Bronco wheels with four new 17-inch wheel designs. And if that’s not enough, Ford decided the 12.0-inch touchscreen will be slapped on the dashboard of every Bronco in 2024, regardless of its trim. And for more subtle updates, the new Broncos will also have Ford's Sync 4 system and the returning Everglades trim.

In terms of upgrades and customization options, Ford can go only so far. Considering the Bronco’s off-roader nature, there’s still much more room for improvement. Starting with protection, a set of Bronco custom seat covers, and a top liner are absolute necessities when it comes to facing the harsh desert climate.

You may wonder why the Bronco got so many upgrades. And why are they all this flashy? Isn’t the Bronco colorful enough? True, the Ford Bronco is a very distinguishable vehicle in itself, a real head-turner, so to speak. But according to Bronco Brand Manager Matt Winter. That's not enough. Bronco’s very special fan base always asks for more. “Bronco Raptor customers want to stand out with off-road performance and looks matching that capability, This new Code Orange appearance package does just that.”

Ford is offering endless configuration possibilities on the new Bronco. As you might expect, customization options still don't include any camping equipment. Thankfully, you can find plenty of those at Coverking. Starting with the custom Bronco bed and tailgate storage system.  While waiting for the official prices, we can still do some speculation based on last year's price tags. In the near end, the two-door Base trim is still unavailable for some reason. But it will surely be close to the 2023 Bronco’s $36,785. At the far end, however, things are a lot more serious, with the top of the range, the four-door Bronco Raptor available last year for $88,475, destination fees included.
