A Spicy New BMW X5 M60i Variant is Coming
BMW has a reputation for producing some of the best and most luxurious automobiles in the automotive world. The company recently revealed plans for its Performance-oriented cars, the M Performance models, or so-called M-enhanced cars, would have squared quad exhausts, whereas the full-fat M cars would have round piping.
BMW X5 M60i. That's the name of the new variant we've been hearing about for some time now, the M60i will sit below the stunning M50i and above the regular X5.
The new X5 M60i will be available with the M-developed S68 engine, a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 with 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance. This means that the M60i gets 530 horsepower; the car will have power going to all four wheels via an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission.
The spy photos reveal some details about the vehicle's design. The first thing we notice is the M-style mirror caps are present, along with an enlarged vent on its fender.
The front of the car will likely see some visual updates in the form of new headlights and graphics, while the kidney grilles will likely be slightly tweaked.
