Ferrari is making another version of the SF90, the new Ferrari SF90 Versione Speciale seems ready to take on the track.

Ferrari is taking no respite, only a few months after the Ferrari SF90 Stradale- the fastest road car to lap the Fiorano test track ever- the company is getting ready to launch another alteration of the SF90, called the Version Speciale.

The car was caught doing some laps on the Fiorano test track, and the test model was still hiding under camouflage, but we can see from the outset that the car adopted an entirely new aero package was very obvious.

The Ferrari SF90 Versione Speciale has an S-duct channeling the air through the front bumper and out of the bonnet, a typical Ferrari aerodynamic design, a doctrine that exudes the use of large splitters and wings.

Other prominent features include a more muscular side profile featuring deeply scalloped side skirts, definitely helping with a more efficient and fluid airflow around the sides and to the rear. The wheels, however, remained the same as in the Stradale.

The rear design is still under heavy covers, which makes us expect a more elaborate modification there, and that’s only natural, considering the added downforce coming from the new front design. A new exhaust system is also in order, it’s a primary necessity, to accommodate the roaring twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8.

Speaking of the engine, its performance will be assisted by three electric motors, two of which will govern the front wheels. The SF90 performance will be further enhanced using a revised torque vectoring calibration that allows for better cornering abilities. [i]
