The New York car show is world class event that car makers take very seriously, every brand is betting on it to give their new models a good head start. That’s why we see this deluge of new official announcements this week.

 

#1 New Lamborghini Huracan Version Teased

True to its promise, Lamborghini is launching the new Huracan version next week. Meanwhile, the teasing trail has apparently started, with a single image chowing what appears like a carbon-fiber engine cover with a V10 badge on it. It isn’t much but it’s surly reassuring that the new car launches in on the right track.  It’s worth noting that the new Huracan is just the first of two models that Lamborghini has promised its fans this year.[1]

 

 

 #2 DeLorean Releases Clearer Teaser Image of New EV

DeLorean is letting us see more of its new EV. In recently published images, the public had a clearer look on the company’s latest car, it has a more arched roof compared to previous models, which is a step away from traditional angular roof previously seen on DeLorean cars. However, the louvers are still very much there. The brand also announced that the final debut date will be on august the 18, coinciding with Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance even, there, we will get to discover the car along with its name.[2]

 

 

#3 Reborn Mitsubishi Colt Teased For 2023 Launch

It appears to be that Mitsubishi is playing the nostalgia game in the European market, the Japanese carmaker has announced recently that they are resurrecting the "Colt”, a name previously held by a model released back in the 60s. The announcement was accompanied with teaser images showing the car’s general silhouette. The new colt is expected to run on the CMF-B platform, which is the same one used in Renault Clio and Nissan Micra.[3]

The Indian giant is up again, and going into a new adventure, after the fairly successful budget city cars, now Tata is putting its huge resources into the development of a new concept SUV.

They call it the Curvv, Tata engineers tried to create the perfect balance between looks, performance, and practicality. Tata has scheduled the final product for 2024, so we still have two years to see how the new Curvv will evolve over time[4].

 

 

#5 Lexus RZ Electric SUV Teased with Debut Set for April 20

Finally, we have reached the moment of truth with the new Lexus RZ, a long trail of announcements and teaser that has started back in august 2020 has reached its end.

The final announcement stated that the full reveal will take place on April 20th, and it was accompanied by some teaser images showing the car’s front, frankly the new pictures didn’t bring anything new about the electric SUV. As they look identical to the previously teased exterior body [5].

Mercedes is bracing for the launch of the new Mercedes EQS SUV, the new car is the utility version of the EQS sedan, borrowing from it the main design lines with a more spacious cabin and a higher ground clearance. Of course, Mercedes is also promising a revolutionary interior in terms of “intuitive digital controls” and “innovative trim elements,”, the global release date is set for April 19.[6]

New teaser images have revealed more of the new 2023 Hyundai Palisade ahead of its official debut on April the 13th. The new pictures reveal a new grill now yet seen on any current Hyundai SUV, but we see that the brand is at least maintaining the top wings, cutouts on the camouflage also suggest the presence of new light placements, but that’s still to be confirmed.[7]

Kia is breaking with tradition as it decided to reveal the new Telluride in the US instead of south Korea. The debut will be a part of the New York car show, revealing the facelift that car really needs after 3 years of faithful service. The latest shadowy teaser images published ahead of the final reveal show a new headlight design, with two vertical lines of LED daytime lights.[8]

The new crossover was revealed last year in Korea as per the Brand’s traditions. But apparently Kia doesn’t want to miss on the New York car show. So, their tweeter account has released a new teaser, showing pretty much the same car that we have already seen before.[10]

An obscure teaser image has surfaced recently from Audi, the picture shows the new Urbansphere concept. The car that will have an official debut on April the 19th.
