#1 2023 Porsche 911 Dakar Debuts In LA With Three-Inch Lift, 473 HP

Porsche 911 Dakar is a production car that is ready to travel the world. It is a rally-ready car with a big suspension lift and all-terrain tires.

The 911 Dakar rides on a recalibrated suspension that lifts the car 2 inches and another 1.2 inches can be added using a special lift system, giving the Dakar a ground clearance similar to conventional SUVs.

Just 2,500 units will be produced if you want to experience this special Porsche, you better act fast, the company plans on making 2500 units only.

 

 

#2 Drako Dragon Debuts Quad-Motor SUV

The Drako Dragon is a modern SUV with a high-performance twist.

The new vehicle offers space for five people inside, and it's designed to offer the performance of an SUV at the speed of a sports car. It claims an acceleration time of 1.9 seconds in a 0-60 mph sprint and a 200 mph top speed from an electric powertrain that makes 2,000 horsepower.

The Dragon is a two-door SUV, not any doors, but two impressive gullwing doors. Inside, the car offers ample space to accommodate five people.

 

 

 

#3  2024 Subaru Impreza Debuts

 

 

 

The latest iteration of the Subaru Impreza is here, and it's ready to take on the competition.

The sixth generation of the compact iconic model debuts at this year's LA Auto Show, just like the first gen did at the same event in 1992.

The 2024 Impreza arrives in three trims: Base, Sport, and RS. The Base and Sport are powered by a 2.0-liter boxer four-cylinder, producing 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. The RS, however, gets a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 182 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque.

 

 

#4 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 Debuts For US

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 made its North American debut at the LA Auto Show.

The car was previously revealed back in July, when the automaker highlighted many of its features.

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 we saw at the LA Auto Show looks identical to the global model, but the North American model has one tiny difference: The car’s drag coefficient is 0.1 higher because the car’s camera side mirrors have been adjusted to meet current NHTSA standards.

 

 

#5 VinFast VF 6, VF 7 Electric SUVs Make North American Debut

VinFast, a Vietnamese electric car brand that entered the LA Auto Show with two small SUVs last year, is showing off its VF 6 and VF 7 alongside the larger and previously revealed VF 8 and three-row VF 9.

The company is showcasing its VF 6 and VF 7 in the US for the first time—they have already debuted at this year's Paris Motor Show. VinFast doesn't say when those models will be available for purchase. Pricing isn't mentioned thus far.

 

 

#6 2023 Toyota Prius Debuts In Europe

The Toyota Prius PHEV, the company's fifth-generation hybrid car, was introduced to the United States in its North American version. American buyers will get exactly the same Prius hybrid and Prius Prime plug-in as in Europe, but they will also get an all-wheel-drive version.

The new hybrid rides on the company's second-generation TNGA-C platform, which is 2 inches shorter and one inch narrower than the model it replaces. Toyota placed the battery under the rear seats to help lower the car's center of gravity and preserve its cargo space.

 

 

#7 2023 Lucid Air Pure, Touring Debut

The Lucid Air Pure is officially the entry-level model in the Lucid lineup, but it still delivers over 400 miles of range and lots of power. The 2023 Lucid Air Pure launches with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive model that's priced at $92,900. It runs on a smaller 18-module version of the company's long-range battery pack, but one that still delivers an EPA-estimated range of 410 miles on a charge.

Fast-charge capability can reclaim 200 miles in 15 minutes and drivers will still enjoy 480 horsepower on the gas pedal, enough to reach 60 mph in 3.8 seconds.

 

 

 

#8 Genesis X Convertible Concept Debuts

Genesis revealed its latest X concept, the Genesis X Convertible Concept, at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show. The car has a sleek exterior that portrays the automaker's "Athletic Elegance design language in its purest form." The Genesis X Convertible has a lot of similarities with its predecessors, the Genesis X and Genesis X Speedium Coupe concepts. It has a long hood, short deck, gently arching body line, flared wheel arches, and split lights front and rear.
