For the first time ever, we got to see the upcoming Polestar 3 with no camouflage. The first EV performance SUV from Polestar.
The rapidly growing EV producer doesn’t want to miss out on the SUV market, known for having the highest margin and growth rates in the entire automotive industry. That’s why they are planning to launch their first electric SUV, the Polestar 3 this October.
The latest video reveals a lot of design features of the new model. Like the sloping roofline, panoramic glass roof, chunky D-pillar, ascending window line, plastic body cladding, and aerodynamic elements. The influences from the Polestar Precept concept car are pretty obvious, especially in the headlight design.
The dual-motor drivetrain gives the car a 372 miles range according to WLTP numbers. The new SUV will also have “autonomous highway piloting powered by the best-in-class LiDAR sensor from Luminar and centralized NVIDIA computing power” as announced earlier by polestar.

The company officials are very optimistic about their 3rd model. Relying on it greatly to drive up their growth trajectory. And elevating Polestar to “major producer” status.
Polestar 3 will be available for order on the premiere day, which will be sometime next October. But actual production won’t start until 2023 in the US and China.

Also, it’s planning to enter 30 new markets around the world. Which will effectively increase its sales tenfold from 29,000 to 290,000 in mere 4 years
