Porsche2024 porsche cayenne turbo e hybrid front

The new SUV will hit US shores in March 2024.

Only a few weeks after launching the newly refreshed 2024 Cayenne SUV, the German carmaker is unveiling its most powerful Cayenne ever, called the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid. The old turbo model has ridden into the sunset, making room for the fresh new variant. As you can see in the photos, the new car shares many design features with the Cayenne SUV, but under the hood, it's a completely different story.

What are the specs of the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid 2024

For starters, the 2024 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid is available in SUV and Coupe body styles; however, they both share the same underbody, which consists of a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, producing 591 horsepower.

The output increases to 729 hp and 700 pound-feet of torque when factoring in the 174-hp electric motor. In ideal conditions, Porsche states that the new 2024 Cayenne can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in an impressive 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 183 mph.

What is the battery capacity of the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid 2024

The Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid features a 25.9-kilowatt-hour capacity battery pack, which is notably large for its segment. The power storage is located under the cargo area. Porsche has not disclosed the exact electric range of this setup yet, but they mentioned that an 11-kilowatt onboard charger can reduce the charging time to 2.5 hours when connected to a decent power source.

Porsche engineers have upgraded the car's suspension system, opting for an adaptive air suspension, typically found in high-performance SUVs. The system consists of highly adjustable compression and rebound thanks to two-chamber, two-valve technology. This allows the car to bridge the gap between the system's Comfort and Sport Plus settings. The Cayenne also comes equipped with Torque Vectoring Plus as standard. Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control and rear-axle steering are available as additional options.

Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid 2024 design features

To differentiate the new E-Hybrid from its siblings, Porsche designers have given it a brand new fascia dominated by the large and highly controversial air intakes. To emphasize the color contrast, Porsche has painted the wheel arches with body color, creating a striking black-and-white color combination with the visible red brake calipers adding a nice touch.

However, the lighting has remained unchanged, which is understandable when you're trying to maintain a certain level of consistency across the Cayenne lineup. The car is equipped with standard HD-Matrix Design LED headlights.

Inside, Porsche's luxury and technological prowess are on full display. In addition to the standard Cayenne upgrades like the new 12.6-inch curved driver's display and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, the E-hybrid SUV has received its own unique updates.

These updates include the new Race-Tex headliner, the air-conditioned wireless charging pad, and the heated GT Sport steering wheel, as well as the unique aluminum door and dash trim.

Having so many gadgets on the dash surface can make maintenance complicated, and using any regular dash cover is impossible. What you need is a high-quality custom dash cover with accurate cutouts to preserve your dash in perfect condition without compromising on practicality.

The special surface treatment we see on the doors and dashboard doesn't extend to the floors, leaving them exposed to dirt, dust, and anything that can stick to your shoe soles. Keep your car clean with Coverking floor mats.

To ensure driver satisfaction, clients can choose between 18-way adjustable leather Sports seats and fourteen-way adjustable Comfort seats. The choice shouldn't end with the seat type; drivers should also think about the kind of protection they need for these high-quality seats. Protection against scratches, dirt, and wear and tear should be entrusted to Coverking custom seat covers, designed to fit perfectly and provide comprehensive protection.

How much is the Cayenne E-Hybrid 2024

Although we're still at least 6 months away from the actual delivery start, Porsche has already opened the booking ledger for interested buyers. The starting price is $148,550, which includes the $1,650 destination fees. The coupe version is a bit more expensive, with a starting price of $153,050.

If that sounds expensive, maybe you'd prefer the Cayenne's tamer version. The entry-level model uses a standard turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine capable of 348 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque. This version is priced at $80,850.

However, if you're looking for the range-topping trim, check out the $197,950 Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT, with its 650 horsepower.

What is The 2024 Porsche Lineup

Porsche cars need no advertising. Known for their performance, robust engineering, elegant unique style, and luxury, Porsche car models still maintain their divine-like status. The 2024 Porsche lineup is as rich as ever, with several new and refreshed models.

Porsche 718 Spyder RS

After bidding farewell to the gas-powered 718 Boxster and Spyder, Porsche is promising one last model in the Spyder series: the Spyder RS, powered by the same 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six engine found under the hood of the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS.

New Porsche Panamera

The Panamera also received an update this summer, and just like several other new Porsche models, the Panamera is inspired by the Cayenne. This is most obvious on the front fascia with its air intakes and headlights.

The similarities also extend to the interior, especially the dashboard with its two large screens. However, the engine didn't see much change; the new model still uses the 3.0-liter V6 in the entry-level variant, but the plug-in E-Hybrid version received a new extended battery pack.

New Porsche 911 St

While we await the first electric 911, scheduled for next year, Porsche is launching a new version: the limited edition Porsche 911 St. It will have the same engine as the 911 GT3 but with some new design cues borrowed from the 911 GT3 Touring.

New Porsche 911 Facelift

Alongside the limited edition, it looks like we're finally getting the long-awaited 911 hybrid. The iconic car is about to undergo a history-changing facelift, abandoning the traditional gas-burning powertrain for a more sustainable hybrid one.

The prototype has been spotted several times on the Nürburgring, and speculations suggest that the original 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine is now combined with a 136hp electric motor, the same one found in other Porsche hybrid models.

New Porsche Taycan Facelift

The Taycan is already up for a facelift. Observers have discussed a very limited update in which the Porsche EV saloon is expected to retain most of its exterior design details. However, the interesting part is the introduction of a new high-performance variant. The model in question was spotted during testing rounds, and speculations suggest it could have an output of 1,000hp or more.

New Electric Porsche Macan

And finally, the newest addition to the company's EV lineup: the first-ever electric Macan. This car is the second full electric vehicle produced by the German carmaker, and it will feature a 100kWh battery providing up to 400 miles of range. You may find these numbers familiar, and that's because the car shares many technical details with the Audi A6 e-tron.

The gas-powered and hybrid versions will still be available, and they will all go on sale together at the beginning of 2024.
