A new Chevrolet

Chevrolet Chevelle Muscle Car Back Bizarre Way

A new Chevrolet Chevelle-like muscle car has surfaced recently bringing with it all the nostalgic vibes of the 70s.

General Motors still owns the rights to the Chevrolet Chevelle nameplate, keeping our hopes of seeing an official reboot alive. Especially after seeing several historical models coming back to life; like the Hummer and the Blazer.

But meanwhile, Trans Am Worldwide is stealing the lights with its new modified Chevrolet Camaro. The tuning company turned the convertible into what looks like a modern take on the 1970 Chevelle SS.

Trans Am Worldwide gave the Camaro reshaped fenders, a new front with quad headlights, twin rectangular grilles, and a reimagined version of the Chevelle's chiseled front bumper.

The rear received a new trunk lid and square taillights, the interior also took inspiration from the Chevelle even if a good chunk of it is still from the original Camaro.

Trans Am Worldwide owner Tod Warmack explained why they chose a convertible Camaro as their starting point; “it made for an easier platform to update the body” giving the company much more room for imagination.

This is not the first project from Trans Am Worldwide, the company gained fame by making a modern take on the 1970s Pontiac Firebird Trans Am from another Chevrolet Camaro. The company’s main sales point is allowing modern drivers to get that magical seventy’s feel without having to drive a 40-year-old car.

The new Chevelle comes with a 450 hp 6.2-liter V8 for $150.000, but customers who are willing to pay more can opt for a different 900 hp or even a 1,500-horsepower supercharged engine, breathing through a pop-up cowl induction system.

Although we can all agree that this is a Chevel, Trans Am can’t use the name, because GM still owns it. Even if Chevrolet hasn’t made any plans to revive it anytime soon. We have even started hearing Rumors about it dropping the Camaro in favor of a new electric model.

Tunned cars are like the rare jewels of the car industry, they are expensive, precious, and require extensive care and maintenance.

That maintenance starts with protecting it from external dangers, a long list of weather and environmental elements ready to ruin your most valued prize.
