Updating your current models for each coming year is a fairly common practice among carmakers, and a very important procedure if you ask the experts, it preserves the cars’ competitivity in a rapidly developing market, with new technologies popping up all the time.
Audi has been having a good run in the last few years here in the US, and they are intending on keeping it going for longer. The way to do it is obviously by keeping their cars appealing to US customers. To reach this goal, several models were updated for 2023, we’ve seen a decent number of new equipment added to the entry-level A3 and Q3 to the flagship A8 and Q7/Q8.
We also expect that Audi will expand the existing fleet with the launch of new electric models, namely the Q4 E-Tron and Q4 Sportback E-Tron.
If we take a look at the A4 series, we will find that the entire range was fitted with the adaptive cruise control while the 40 and 45 models got new LED headlight sets coupled with new integrated LED daytime running lights. The most fun adjustment is maybe the new sound systems on the Premium Plus trim. New wheels and style options were also introduced for potential buyers to choose from.
Turning to the S6 and S7, we find that the adaptive cruise control system is making an appearance here too, however, the company didn’t touch the power train that will keep running on a 4.0-liter V8 engine, while the one significant feature is maybe the remote park assist feature added to the Executive Package of the 2023 RS7.
A8 didn’t receive much of an update, the reason is that the model has only recently had a facelift for the 2022 model. For 2023, the A8 will be fitted with a remote park assist in the Executive Package, the Comfort plus package will have new HD matrix-design LED headlights, while the S8 will have a new interior style with the Valcona leather interior with rhombus stitching.
Finally, the SUV and crossover fleet will have its fair share of tweaks, we see new headlight setups here too, especially on the base Q3, the flagship Q8, and SQ8.
Other technological features are present like the wireless phone charging pad on the Q3 and the adaptive cruise control across all the Q5 and SQ5 models. The most radical modification here is definitely the engine change on the Q7 which now runs on a new base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine for 2023 MY with 261 hp.
