JTops Jeep Installation

JTops  Jeep Wrangler JL Installation  Videos

Wrangler JL Sun Shade Installation

Our sun shades attach to the top of your Jeep’s roll cage via magnetic strips along the front and back edges. Carefully but firmly tuck these edges underneath the windshield channel. Buckles on the sides and back tighten the shade firmly and efficiently across all surfaces of the roll cage. Our products provide complete coverage for passengers without cutting into rear passenger head space.

Wrangler JL / JT Bikini Sun Shade Installation

The bikini sun shade installs similarly to the full sun shade. First, take the front magnetic strip and firmly press it into place underneath the windshield channel. Second, utilize the buckles along the middle bar and sides of the roll cage to snap in place. Accompanying each buckle is a tri-glide that allows you to tighten the buckle straps to your liking.

Wrangler JL Leaving The Sun Shade Under The Hard Top and Freedom Panels Installation

Want to leave your JTops sunshade installed while keeping the hard top on? No problem! Mike shows you in this video how to complete this procedure. The hard top is suspended by hooks in your garage to keep it steady, and then you can remove each corner socket from the hook and snap it into place.

Wrangler JL Leaving The Sun Shade on Under The Soft Top

Leaving your JTops sunshade installed while keeping the soft top on? No problem! Simply flip up the soft top from the down position. Untuck the nylon windshield strip and drop the top front edge to the windshield. Jump in and lock the front latches and your ready to go!

Wrangler JL Soft Top Boot Installation

Installing your soft top boot is straightforward and easy. After fitting the material around the coverage area, take the small side flaps and pull them near the side of the wheel well, as depicted by Mike. After that, bring the closing flap from the bottom side around the boot’s open edge. Use the buckles to fasten and tighten as needed.

Wrangler JL Cargo Area Tonneau Cover Installation

To get your tonneau cover installed, drape one side over either the left or right portion of the tub (cargo area). Look for the powder-coated clip to snap onto the tub rail (when you install it properly, the clip should be near the front of the vehicle). After the clip snaps into place, gradually press the firm vinyl strip along the underside of the tub rail, which acts as a channel. Simply repeat for the other side and the back (with magnetic strips), and you’re good to go!

WranglerJK Sun Shade Installation

The JK model’s installation works similarly to the JL, though there are three metal clips to fasten on the windshield side instead of magnetic strips. After the front portion is secure, spread the shade over the roll cage bars, and utilize the buckles and tri-glides to tighten all areas accordingly. We recommend working in a front-to-back fashion.

Wrangler JK Tonneau Installation

Installing your tonneau cover on a JK is also similar to the JL. After spreading the cover out on the tub, use the finger loop tab to pull the fastening hook into position (similar to the first step with a JL). Once the clip is fastened, press the vinyl strip into the tub rail channel, moving from the front edge to the back, just like with the JL. Secure the tub’s rear door cover with the built-in magnetic strips, and you’re all set!

Wrangler JK Boot Installation

First, bring your soft top down to the rear of the vehicle. Bring the soft top’s covering over the frame material, and use it as an initial enclosure for the frame. Tuck any loose materials into the tub, and wrap the sides up on top of the soft top’s frame. Slip one side of the boot onto the frame, and repeat with the other side. Tuck the rear internal flap underneath the boot, and secure the contents. Utilize the buckles for final tightening (don’t be too firm). Double check the fit, and you are good to go!

Wrangler JK Hardtop Headliners Guide

All of our hardtop headliners are Velcro-fitted, so you don’t need any additional hardware or knowledge to install them. Simply follow the video and you’ll be ready in no time!

How we make our Wrangler Accessories

Leaving the sun shade on under the JK soft top

First, unclip the sunshade from the windshield and fold back towards the vehicle’s rear. If you have removed any door surrounds during that stage, replace them before fastening your soft top. Second, remove your soft top boot if it was in use, and unfurl the soft top. Roll and pull the soft top over your shade top. Third, using the soft top’s frame to position it, snap each of the four soft top corners into place, and double check to ensure it is firm. Then you are all done!
