2023 hyundai grandeur design reveal
Hyundai is adding another fancy luxury sedan to its rich portfolio, the 7th generation Grandeur aka the Azera was revealed, showing a radically modified exterior design.
The Grandeur is one of Hyundai’s most important models, the car represented Hyundai’s luxury segment for years. Commercialized as the Azera globally, the car was discontinued in certain markets like the US in 2017, but now it’s making a spectacular comeback with a new unprecedented futuristic design.
As is usual for Hyundai, we’re getting the drop-by-drop teasing game; starting with a few exterior images and no technical details. So, we should make do with what we have for now.

The design is rather bold, with a huge grill, flanked with headlight clusters, and sitting under an LED line running across the entire front, a design reminiscent of that of the Staria minivan.
On the sides, we see that the door handles are integrated seamlessly into the door design, speaking of doors, their dimensions look significantly larger than the previous model, hinting at perhaps a longer wheelbase, offering more cabin space.
Another eye-catching detail is the quarter glass at the back, a “clin d'oeil” to the original 1986 Grandeur, a model that Hyundai has adopted and rebranded from Mitsubishi.

In the back, we can see that Hyundai designers didn’t get lazy there, drawing what we can describe only as the most logical continuation to what we see at the front; the roof flows gently into a slightly curved trunk lid, in the middle we have what feels like a continuation of the front LED line, just wrapping around the entire car. “Grandeur” is proudly written in bold letters, as it should be. The exhaust tips are hidden under the rear bumper, preserving the clean, gently flowing design of the car.

The radical design change went inside the cabin as well, adding a dual-screen setup on the dashboard, with an additional third display mounted on the central console, further control panels are installed on the rear bench as well, giving passengers full control of the climate inside the car.
Lighting and leather were carefully chosen to give the car a nice, cozy atmosphere. Other features like separate audio controls and a dual-pane sunroof are implemented to enhance the comfort inside the car.
The trickle of details will certainly keep coming our way, before we get the complete picture a few weeks from now in the awaited full reveal, ahead of an early 2023 debut.
When you look at the rapid development of car designs, you realize that the car cover business is not a one-size-fits-all business. Coverking made its decision early on, deciding to design and manufacture custom-made covers.
Coverking uses 3D scanning software to get an accurate virtual model of your car, upon which we base our car cover design, ensuring a perfect fit that will protect your car for years to come.
