Abarth Pulse is Italian Brands First Ever Performance SUV

Although the Italian sub-bran is shifting rapidly towards the production of EVs, especially in Europe, it still has some impressive ICE cars rolling around elsewhere, and that’s the case of the new Abarth Pulse, which would be the first ever performance SUV to bear the brand’s famous scorpion on the front grill.

Apparently, the mother brand fiat is not really interested in the US market currently, it has one only model on sale here namely the Fiat 500x. And the launch of the new pulse in brasil is a visible proof of their focus being outside the US.

The Abarth pulse is mainly based on the fiat pulse but it has received a good number of modifications, such as a black-colored roof with contrasting side mirror caps, front bumper trim, and side decals. The gray color that goes nicely with the red accents. And the scorpion badge has naturally replaced Fiat’s on the front black mesh grille. All that rolls on 16-inch wheels.

The pulse is expected to receive a more powerful engine than the previous models, many suggest that it would be powered by a 1.3-liter turbocharged gas engine, capable of producing 185 horsepower. That’s all still to be confirmed, along with the expected top speed and the 0 to 60 time, which are trickier to predict knowing that the pulse is significantly heavier than the Abarth 595 and 695.

It's worth noting that the Abarth will be a Brazil only model, that means it was developed there and will be produced and sold exclusively in the south American giant.
