Aston Martin is updating its logo and motto in preparation for the launch of a new line of sports cars.
Logo changes are not a frequent occurrence in the cars industry, that’s why Aston Martin has created a small controversy by changing its logo once more, making it the eighth update since 1927.

The changes are not that obvious this time. From a distance, everything looks the same. You need to look closely to notice that the lines got thicker. Also, the middle line above the lower arch and the central curve have both completely disappeared. Finally, and perhaps most obviously, the “Aston Martin” central plate got a little bigger. Yes, that’s all! A shy update some might say, but one that preserves the brand’s image and familiarity among the wider public.
The company’s tagline was updated as well, now saying "Intensity. Driven." A bold motto as described by Aston Martin itself.
The timing of these updates was not arbitrary, they fall into the larger preparations for the launch of a new series of mid-engine sports cars, starting with the F1-inspired Valkyrie and its smaller and tamer sibling the Valhalla. So, we will soon have a chance to gaze upon the new badge on Aston Martin F1 cars and the aforementioned cars.
