Spy Shots Audi A6 E-tron Caught Getting Some Ring Time

Audi is never tired of making new cars, constantly burning the tires of some new model on the testing tracks, this time the model in question is the new all-electric, the A6 E-Tron. Where it was spotted doing some laps on the Nürburgring race track.

The model appearing in these pictures is the sedan version, the one that’s going into production soon, however, the wagon trim is also following close behind as demonstrated in a recent teaser.

The camouflage failed to hide the new split headlight sets, instead of the single element we saw on the concept model.

It’s satisfying to see how close the production model is to the original concept car that was revealed about a year ago; the sloping roofline and the fastback design for its rear are all present here, maybe the biggest change is the new headlights.

The German carmaker didn’t ponder much before deciding about which platform to use, the new A6 E-Tron will ride on the new PPE platform, the exact platform used for the Porsche Macan EV, and the Q6 E-Tron as well, along with other future Audi and Porsche models.

It’s always exciting to see how cars go from the drawing boards and 3D models to real machines roaming the testing tracks. We’re lucky here at Coverking because we see this process at work regularly. Using our advanced 3D scanning technology, we make a 3D model of your car, recording every detail in it.

These models turn into reality in the form of custom-made car covers, that will fit your car like a glove, thanks to the high precision involved in the whole production process. With Coverking we will enjoy high-quality custom-made car covers, coming in a great variety of colors and patterns, with the goal of protecting your car against all kinds of weather conditions and small accidents.
