Bentley expanded its Heritage Collection museum, putting on display 42 cars that represent the brand's long rich history.

Crewe, UK, a symbolic location that holds a lot of historical significance for Bentley. Now, that historical atmosphere is made richer by the expansion of the brand's Heritage Collection. For the last 18 months, the brand worked hard to collect and prepare these cars that represent its history. The collection now holds 42 cars, 34 of which are road-legal, and the remaining eight are race cars. 22 of these models are currently exposed at the facility.

What you see in the pictures here is Bentley’s “project forum.” There’s no better place to group these iconic models than the place where they were designed for the first time. The brick building was constructed in the 1930s, and it remained the company’s main design facility right until recently, when the 2003 Continental GT was developed. Now, as retirement, it has embraced its new nostalgic role of housing Bentley’s Heritage Collection

Mike Sayer, the head of Bentley’s Heritage Collection, seemed satisfied with the work that his team has done, but he still has a deep feeling that the job will never be complete as long as Bentley lives on:

“Having now rebuilt the Collection to fully chart our history, we have an ongoing commitment to add to it with each significant new model we launch,” he said.

The models exhibited at Crewe date back to 1919, and in the future, the collection will take on some more recent models, like the ones made from 1946 onwards, such as Significant Cricklewood models and Derby-era ones. The race cars, however, will have their own separate display.

If you’re already planning your trip to the UK, you should be prepared to behold some ancient cars like the EXP2, or vintage models like the 1929 Speed Six and the 1930 8 Liter. Some more modern designs are present too. Like the first Continental GT, the Continental GT V8S, and the 2019 Bentayga Hybrid.

What’s amazing about this collection is that every single car is in working order, ready to start roaring its engine on demand.  Sayer insisted on this detail, implying that Bentley’s collection is a live and vibrant one, not just a show of some skeleton remains.

Collections, like the one we have here, make you realize how diverse and rich the automotive world can be. Coverking believes that such diversity cannot be squeezed under one standard type of cover; every car model deserves its own custom-made cover.

Based on this core principle, Coverking has been making high-quality custom-made car covers since 1986, putting innovative 3D scanning technology in the service of car care.

As a result, Coverking is happy to offer all Car owners high-quality custom-made covers that will protect their cars against severe weather conditions and all kinds of minor accidents, promising to keep them shining for many years to come
