With GM's announcement, Buick is the latest brand to abandon its turn-of-the-century roots in favor of an all-electric future — and it's one of the biggest to make this move.
In 2024, the GM subsidiary will release its first electric vehicle for the North American market, the future model will be called the Electra, which is aimed to be the center of the company’s all-electric future.
“The Buick brand is committed to an all-electric future by the end of this decade,” said Duncan Aldred, Buick's vice president.
