Dominos to roll out nationwide fleet of 800 chevy bolt evs
Domino's Pizza is adding 100 custom-branded 2023 Chevy Bolt electric vehicles to its pizza delivery fleet.
This fresh new addition is part of its recent agreement with Chevrolet in which the car company has to deliver 700 more in the coming months. This is a tremendous step that will bolster Domino’s pizza’s efforts in becoming the leader of EV fleet operators in North America. This first EV bundle will be distributed to select franchise and corporate stores throughout the U.S. as a first taste of what an EV delivery system would look like.
Domino’s Pizza has come a long way since the start of its delivery service back in 1960, at the time the pizza company used a small fleet of Volkswagen Beetles. Fast forward to 2015, Domino’s adopted the DXP, a custom-built pizza delivery car. And now it plans to become the leading EV delivery fleet operator in the US.
"We've made a commitment to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, and this is one way we can begin reducing our environmental impact, one delivery at a time," said Russell Weiner, Domino's chief executive officer.
Domino's will rely on Enterprise Fleet Management to manage its new EV fleet, they will provide account management, vehicle acquisition, financing, telematics solutions, and maintenance for the new cars.
