NIO Battery Swap Stations Plant Hungary

 

Europe's largest innovative energy storage solutions provider, NIO Clean Energy Group, has announced that its first overseas plant will commence operations in September.

With its entry into the European market, NIO Power Europe is the first overseas plant of the company. This new plant will bring in advanced battery swap stations as part of its offered service model.

The plant will be responsible for fulfilling the company’s European demand for residential and commercial power solutions, as well as serving as a manufacturing service and R&D center for NIO's power products in Europe.

NIO Power Europe Plant will provide a range of battery swap stations to customers who want to reduce their carbon footprint by swapping out their old battery packs for new ones.

In 2021, the NIO ES8 was first introduced in Norway. The Chinese company has since been expanding its presence into Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Denmark.

The battery systems of the stations are compatible with NIO's new 75 kWh and 100 kWh models. The 150 kWh unit is currently under development. According to the company, The battery swap stations allow users to easily and quickly swap out a depleted battery for one that has a higher capacity, with immediate power at their fingertips, wherever they may be.
