Hennessey Six Wheel Drive 620 Mile Range EV

The hypercar company is working on an unusual electric vehicle, aiming to break some speed records in the process.

Hennessey has a busy schedule these days, after Launching the Venom GT, the company is working on two models simultaneously, the new Venom F5 which will be built entirely by Hennessey, unlike the GT. And another more ambitious project that we will take a look at in this article.

Hennessy calls it “Project Deep Space” an oddity of a car – not really sure if we can even call it that- featuring several characteristics that take it further away from mainstream hypercars and more toward futuristic concept territory.  Project Deep Space is a pure electric 2000 horsepower car, running on six wheels with a motor for each one. The diamond shape body is home to 4 seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. The wheelbase stretches for 19.7 feet, and that’s not just for looks, but also as a technical necessity to house the huge batteries necessary to fuel the car, as the company intends to give it enough power for 620 miles on a single charge.

Clearly, Project Deep Space will not be a common, mass-produced car, Hennessey made sure that it will be a rare piece of art that costs $ 3 million and is limited to 105 examples only.

However, John Hennessey, CEO of the company explained that Project Deep Space will not be just another exhibition item. Its true purpose in life will be to take the title of the quickest four-seater production car, aiming to reach 200 mph.

That’s easier said than done, seeing how heavy the Project Deep Space will be, with its huge size and the substantial battery volume that it has to carry in order to power the six motors on board.

The Project Deep Space is often portrayed as the modern version of the Bugatti Royale, but the new Hennessey still has a long way to go before becoming road worthy, the current sketches will turn into a show car in two years, representing 95% of what the final production model should look like. But the happy news– for the company at least- is that even if the production model is still at least 4 years away, they have just sold the first unit to the same client that bought the Venom F5 Mojave Gold.

Owning a fancy classic model instinctively turns you into a meticulous owner, capable of seeing microscopic dust particles with the naked eye! A fact that makes caring for your precious property particularly hard.
