Ineos grenadier production start
The new Ineos Grenadier off-roader will offer something more than most of its competitors.
Building on the popularity of the iconic Land Rover Defender, Ineos has developed its Grenadier vehicle. Its all-terrain war tank capable of fording water and traversing rough terrain is now underway, with the first units rolling off the production line in early December.
The off-roader has been plagued by shortages of parts and components and a global supply chain disruption that resulted in the company missing its target date for delivery. “We’ve come a long way since the project kicked off in 2017 and this is a landmark moment for Ineos Automotive as a vehicle manufacturer,” Mark Tennant, Ineos Automotive commercial director stated.

The vehicle combines high driving dynamics with exceptional comfort and safety under all weather conditions. In addition to the main focus on driving enjoyment, the car has been designed for easy maintenance, reduced weight and excellent fuel efficiency.
The latest development from Ineos will give buyers even more choices in terms of power and performance when it arrives on the market, with a lot of other features and benefits customers can expect from this all-electric vehicle. The European version of the Grenadier will be introduced to customers with two inline-six engines, a gas and a diesel mill which will be combined with eight-speed automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive. However, American consumers will get their hands only on the B58 twin-turbo gas unit which boasts 281 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque.
