The next QX80 will be a huge step forward for Infiniti as the brand looks to assert its place as Nissan’s flagship premium brand.
According to sources, Infiniti has outlined its strategy to launch the new SUV model on an accelerated timeline. The automaker intends to introduce the next QX80 in time for the 2023 model year, running a prototype version of the vehicle through March 31, 2023, at which point it will unveil what it calls a "staged reveal."
In line with Infiniti’s statement regarding its new design language, the QX80 will be introduced as the embodiment of the brand’s new design language.

As a premium SUV, the Nissan Armada has been a tough target for Infiniti. So, it worked on improving the QX80 to make it better than the Armada and more SUV-like, but still closer in performance to a luxury car.
Infiniti's new brand identity will be more than just a logo and a color palette. The Japanese automaker is looking to overhaul its entire customer experience, from the cars it sells to the dealerships that house them.
“We are going to have a full package of what Infiniti is as a brand”, “We are going to make this coherent and consistent in all aspects on every touchpoint with the brand.” Infiniti’s Chairman, Peyman Kargar said.
An electric push within 2025 is the second step in a plan that Infiniti first began toward sustainability. The goal of this push is to become eco-friendly as a whole.
