Land Rover Defender 130 Long Reveal Date

May 31 is the date on which we will finally behold the new Land Rover Defender 130, a final teaser image was released showing it on some dunes with wisps of sand hiding the shape.

The design of the Land Rover Defender 130 is not quite a secret anymore, we have seen pretty much everything in previously published spy shots and patent images. So, we can safely say there won’t be any big surprises on the day of the final reveal.

The new defender 130 is basically a stretched-out current four-door defender 110. Preserving the general design lines and wheelbase, with the main difference being the longer overhangs on the front and outback. In numbers, the 130 will be 14 inches longer than the 110.  Critics say that This modification may hurt the car’s performance, especially the departure angle.

However, Land Rover ensures its customers that the benefits will be much larger than this tiny drawback. The Defender 130 will have a much larger cabin space, making enough room for a 3-seat third row. That one seat more than the Defender 110

The new SUV will most likely run on a turbocharged four-cylinder and a turbocharged straight-six. With a possible plugin hybrid version for the European markets. So, no need to wait for a V8 this time.

A larger vehicle means more space for friends and family, everybody likes that but what nobody likes is the added burden of cleaning and maintenance.
