lucidLucid air deliveries begin europe with longest range model

The limited series Lucid Air Dream Edition is now delivered to European customers, only a few weeks after its deliveries ended in the US.

As a prelude to mass production, the EV startup, Lucid, is launching the limited-edition luxury sedan Air Dream Edition for the European public. The company wants to familiarize potential buyers with its brand-new lineup. Before the launch of the entire Air series. The Air Dream is currently available in two flavors, “Range and Performance” and it will be delivered first to German and Dutch buyers, before gradually expanding to other European countries.

Bear in mind that the Air dream is not just a publicity stunt. The car currently holds the title for the longest-range electric vehicle in the entire European market, with 883 kilometers (548 miles) when fitted with 19-inch wheels. The vehicle's dual motor also produces 1,111 horsepower. With this much power, Air dream can finish the 62 mph sprint in just 2.7 seconds. Another attractive feature of the new car is the ultra-fast charging, available on the 900V+ electrical architecture.

Crossing the Atlantic is expensive, which explains why the Lucid Air Dream Edition price jumped from $169,000 in the US to $231,700 in Germany, or €218,000 at the current exchange rate. This is of course the base price, which climbs higher with each new additional feature.

After closing the Lucid Air Dream edition chapter, the company invites interested buyers to start placing their orders for the upcoming Air Pure, Touring, and Grand Touring trim levels of the Lucid Air. The operation costs a fully refundable, meager $318.

Lucid accepts reservations from most western European countries and is also gradually expanding its retail network across the continent. The latest venue is located in Hilversum, the Netherlands, and it’s a bit special because it is the first combined service, delivery, and sales center in Europe.
