Mercedes-AMG One Hypercar Series Production Commences
Customers won't have to wait much longer to get their hands on Mercedes-AMG One Hypercar.
The wait for the Mercedes-AMG One has finally come to an end. The German automaker officially announced that The Mercedes-AMG One hypercar has passed the production milestone and will go into series production.
The automaker has stated that 275 vehicles will be produced, with each costing more than $3 million dollars. The first of these vehicles is expected to be delivered before the end of the year.

The Mercedes-AMG One is designed to give a new meaning to driving excitement. This limited-edition hypercar is handcrafted and one-of-a-kind, with each vehicle going through 16 individual assembly and testing stations. This means that from the outer skin, which gets put together to ensure every panel fits perfectly, to the interior of each wheel, every component is painted by hand to give it the required factory finish.
During a multi-step assembly process, components that make up the car's mechanical and electrical systems are installed prior to further work.
The last phase of the production process includes several steps that ensure that the vehicle meets all of its functional requirements, such as its need to meet noise requirements through a series of tests that simulate how much noise a vehicle would make while driving through different environments.
To date, more than 50 individuals are involved in the car’s assembly from start to finish – a feat not easily achieved by any automaker.

To prove the car's capability on public roads and highways, the automaker's test drivers run a handful of cars through their paces on a nearby proving ground before each car is shipped to AMG headquarters in Affalterbach, Germany.
