A test conducted by Indiana's Battery Innovation Center (BIC) has shown that the solid-state polymer battery cells produced by Mullen Automotive exceed the company's previous claims of 300 Ah at 3.7 volts.
Mullen (the company), a prominent electric vehicle (EV) maker, proudly shared an analysis of Mullen's solid-state polymer battery testing. Executed with the Battery Innovation Center (BIC).
The battery, rated at 300 Ah and 3.7 volts, performed in tests at 343.28 Ah at 4.2 volts—higher than previously measured EV Grid test results.
This test is significant because it shows that the solid-state polymer battery can be operated at higher voltages than originally expected. This expands the potential applications for this groundbreaking battery technology, which could prove crucial to the future of electric vehicles (EVs).
“I’m impressed with the ongoing performance of the solid-state cell after going thru multiple intense testing sessions from accredited testing facilities,” Mullen Automotive CEO and Chairman David Michery stated
“We are pleased to see that the results from ongoing testing are in-line with those previously notated,” Ben Wrightsman, president, and CEO of the Battery Innovation Center stated.
The results of these tests confirm that Mullen Automotive is on track to deliver on its promise to revolutionize the electric vehicle industry by introducing a new generation of batteries that will allow even more people to enjoy an electric vehicle experience.
