New porsche 911 carrera t driver focused lightweight model storms
One thing that we can never get enough of is a classic performance 911. To our pleasure, Porsche is launching a new driver-focused Porsche 911 Carrera T.
The new Porsche 911 Carrera T is the ideal choice for those who want a performance-driven 911 but are still hesitant about going for a pure GT model. The list of features on this new Carrera T reveals how Porsche could subtly make a middle-ground model, capable of giving you optimal performance while maintaining a high level of luxury and comfort at the same time.
For a starter, the car borrowed a lowered suspension, a lightweight interior, and a 380 hp twin-turbo inline-six from its ancestor, the previous-generation Carrera T.
The 380 horsepower beast is placed at the back as is typical with Porsche, installed over the rear wheels, it can push the car from 0 to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds and keep going to 181mph. Transmission is done through a seven-speed manual gearbox, giving the driver full control over the car, following the brand’s philosophy that prioritizes driver control over smooth transitions.
Drivers will also have the added benefits of having the Sport Chrono package and the PASM sports suspension, two systems that can automatically lower the car by 10 mm. Owners can also opt for a rear-wheel steering system that adds more agility when driving under 31 mph and more stability when pushing the gas pedal harder.

For Porsche, it’s not all about engine technicalities; the brand also did a good job cutting weight to a minimum, mainly by using Titanium Gray 20- and 21-inch wheels and removing the rear seats. These measures reduced the car’s weight by 35 kg, compared to the 911 Carrera.
The car’s design is kept simple with only two colors contrasting each other on the exterior; Dark gray on mirror caps, door stickers, badging and engine lid and Lizard green on the main body. The same design concept seeps into the interior as well; owners will get black and gloss black covering the majority of the interior as standard, while still having the possibility of creating some contrast using green seatbelts, stitching, and headrest logos.
Customization options don't stop at the colors, it extends to the seat type as well; buyers can choose to have Adaptive Sports Seats or more supportive lightweight bucket seats for an additional cost. For those with more disposable cash, Porsche offers a more luxurious touch with a leather-trimmed dashboard, door panel, and center console elements.
The 911 Carrera T is available for order now, starting at £98,500 or $111 000 at the current exchange rate, deliveries are scheduled to start in spring 2023.
Porsche understands the importance of customization, giving its customers more and more options that would make them comfortable in their own cars.
