Some critics speculate that Jeep may be trying to simulate their 1980s project; the CJ-8 which was the result of fitting the CJ-7 with a smaller bed. which gave it better mobility while sacrificing some carrying capacity.

The production date is set for next year, with deliveries starting in the second half of the same year, starting as it was expected in China.
No details were released about the production model. but the concept is expected to have a range of 435 miles.
