Next-Gen Chevy Montana Pickup Announced For 2023
The uncertainty that enveloped the Chevy Montana development is finally over, the new official announcement ended nine months of silence. Stating that the renewed pickup will be launched at the start of 2023 in Brazil and several other south American countries.
Chevrolet stated that the work on the Montana is going at an accelerated pace, to make up for the delays and lost time. This delay was expected, if we take in consideration the pandemic situation and the supply chain problems, so the result was that the release date was moved from the middle of this year, to the start of next year.
The Montana will be the first Chevrolet unibody compact pickup to enter service, GM’s top executive in South America didn’t specify any release schedule or detailed timeline. However, he gave the public some technical details about the truck, he even proudly stated that “the New Montana will surprise the market” due to its intelligent design; the cabin space will be optimized to provide the maximum comfort for passengers, while the truck bed will benefit from some new technologies that would make it more practical.
The task of producing the Montana will fall on the GM São Caetano do Sul plant, it has already begun assembling some pre-production units, while waiting for the Brazilian authorities to give the company its final validation.
The company has promised that it won’t leave us hanging like last time, is has published a new teaser image, focusing on the truck’s grill, while announcing the start of a new web series on General Motors South America’s LinkedIn page.
