PhoenixPhoenix airport 1st to offer selfdriving ride service waymo

Mayor Gallego announced that Phoenix International Airport now offers the self-driving ride-hailing service Waymo, just in time for the Superbowl and the holiday season.

Mayor Gallego ended her press conference with the famous words “The future is here,”, stating that Phoenix airport is the first in the world to offer autonomous taxi service for passengers to get to and from the transportation hub.

In collaboration with Waymo, the Google autonomous ride-hailing subsidiary, Phoenix was preparing for the launch since early November. The airport was testing the service using a small sample of the electric Jaguar models selected for the job.

This project is just a part of the city’s grand strategy of becoming a center of intelligent urban services, and they couldn’t choose a better time to launch it other than the holiday season and the upcoming Super Bowl on February 12. The new service will allow passengers and seasonal tourists to move smoothly from the airport to the city center and attend the planned activities and festivals, especially those that are Super Bowl-related.

To make the passengers' life even easier, the airport also plans an extension to the PHX Sky Train that will take passengers directly to major car rental centers.

Despite all the efforts, the perfect car doesn’t exist yet, and perhaps the most important lacking feature is car protection, and that’s where Coverking comes into play. The car cover company makes high-quality products that are tested against all sorts of extreme weather, aggressive environments, scratches, and other minor accidents. All you need to do is tell us your car’s model and make and we will give you the cover you need.
