Porsche New Flagship EV SUV Confirmed

Porsche is preparing to launch another Electric SUV, bolstering its already rich lineup.

As you may know, Porsche is in the middle of its preparations for its IPO, but that is not enough to distract the German company from its main purpose in life, making awesome powerful cars!

Next in line is a brand-new Electric SUV, non-related to the awaited Macan and it’s expected to sit above it on the lineup.

Porsche has chosen the Leipzig plant to be the birthplace of the new car and it has proudly revealed some of its most exciting specs. Like the record charge speed, advanced electric technology will allow the 80.0-kWh battery. to go from 5 percent to 80 percent charge in about 15 minutes on an adequate charging system. A similar trait to that we find on the Mission R electric racecar. The two cars may also share the same performance capabilities, 429-hp to the front axel and 644-hp to the rear, produced by two electric motors.

SUV sales have been on the rise for a while now, and Porsche wants to maximize profits in this high-margin segment. The expected profit will give the company more room to comfortably launch other projects in other segments.

On a different topic, Porsche wants to turn the 718 Cayman into an all-electric model by 2025. As part of the large electrification plans that the company is pursuing.

Porsche has already proven that it can make great electric cars, the Taycan is a living testament to that. We only hope that the maker of the 911 will preserve its tradition and personality in the emerging electric world.
