Jeep seems determined to expand their Wagoneer and grand Wagoneer fleet as their engineers are on the final phases of testing their new model, the LWB which was caught on the cold public roads of Michigan. Jeep counts on this new model to bolster its Wagoneer fleet competitiveness against rival models like the Cadillac’s Escalade, Lincoln's Navigator and GMC’s Yukon Denali.
With the model reaching this phase of tests leaves us the liberty to speculate that the launch date can be somewhere in the 3rd quarter this year. And it will be produced at the Warren truck assembly plant in Warren, Michigan.
The first public appearance of the new model revealed that it has a lot of identical design elements with the previous model; the SWB, details like the long rear window and doors are identical in both models.
The LWB will hold under its hood 392 horse power provided by a hybrid system comprised of a 5.7L V-8 engine and 48-volt battery pack. the motor generator provides energy to a 390-watt-hour lithium-ion 12-cell Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC)-Graphite battery. Which is mounted to the floor inside the Wagoneer’s cabin.
