The design of Hyundai's newest sports vehicle has been significantly toned down, according to spy shots. Hyundai was pretty bold with the design of their previous model, so it was expected that they would tone things down a notch with the Ioniq 6.

Hyundai appears to be experimenting with different exterior designs, especially evident in the redesigned lamp-reflector units in the rear bumper that bear a striking resemblance to the taillights of the Prophecy concept.

The production version will feature an interior that is just as spectacular as the concept, but it will no longer feature suicide doors, and both the front and rear overhangs have been increased. The Ioniq 6 will likely feature flush door handles, and its rear spoiler could incorporate a third brake light.

Hyundai’s Ioniq will come with a choice of two engines, single- and dual-motor. This dual unit is expected to produce more than 300 horsepower.
