The ford f-150 raptor r-super truck is heading to dealers
After a long wait, the Ford F-150 Raptor R is finally coming to dealerships across the USA.
The off-road truck gained a lot of hype since its official reveals last July. Ford advertised the Raptor R as the ultimate off-road truck, but that wasn’t so obvious, the truck quickly became the central piece in truck enthusiasts' discussions. The main question was whether the new F-150 alteration is comparable to other popular off-road trucks like the Ram TRX. Now with the Raptor R getting ready to hit the road, or the off-road rather, we can finally pass a final judgment and close the discussion once and for all.
But before that, we can examine the Raptor R equipment one more time. Truck lovers are already familiar with the potent Ford F-150 Raptor, the R is a more muscular version, with a more aggressive design and a more powerful engine. The raptor R runs on the same engine we find on the Mustang Shelby GT500, a supercharged 5.2-liter Predator V8 engine that makes 700 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque, making the truck fully capable of taking on any kind of obstacle in its way. In addition to that, the engine is equipped with a revised supercharger pulley that can improve the mid-range torque.

Hints of this all-powerful setup are obvious in the exterior design of the truck; the power dome hood and the endless R badges are all warning signs saying that this is no regular soft truck.
A lot of observers love to point out that the Ram's 1500 TRX makes 2 horsepower more than the raptor R, but as we said earlier, we should be patient until we see a proper showdown between the two monsters. A competition that will hopefully include a lot of hill climbing, sand, mud, and huge rocks.

Finally, the Raptor R wheels are wrapped in a set of chunky 37-inch BFGoodrich tires. To ensure maximum comfort inside the cabin, Ford opted for Recaro sport bucket seats covered in Alcantara and leather, coupled with carbon fiber finishing touches on the doors, dash, and center console.
Ford estimated that the privilege of riding their new over-the-top performance truck is worth $109,145 (including destination fees).
