This Nissan Z Safety Car is a JDM Dream
Nissan's new Z model is already a great hit among car enthusiasts, ever since its launch. With its affordable price tag and impressive value for money, the new Nissan Z is sure to be in hot demand among roadster lovers in the near future.
Nissan has announced that its new Z will be used as the official safety car for the Super GT series, replacing the highly successful GT-R GT. This is a big step forward for Nissan's new racing car, which will compete alongside Toyota's GR Supra.
The safety car was painted in a yellow and black motif and featured large Super GT branding, as well as a few Bosch decals. A light on the roof of the car warns drivers when the safety car is about to pass them, and there are two lights mounted on either side of the number plate holder at the rear of the car.

The cabin is largely unchanged, but two Recaro racing seats with four-point Nismo harnesses now occupy the space. The Nissan Z safety car is equipped with a potent VR30DDTT 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine that puts out 400 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds. It comes with a six-speed manual transmission with rev-matching, or a nine-speed automatic.
The Z is the latest in a long line of Nissan safety cars, and it fits snugly into that exclusive club. It's an impressive choice, to be sure, and there's no question that Nissan has made the right decision.
