Toyota has revealed a new partnership with EVgo, the nation’s largest public fast-charging network, which will help provide bZ4X owners with access to a fast, reliable charging system where and when they need it. The world’s biggest automaker has sweetened the deal by offering one year of free charging at all EVgo stations, buyers and lessees of the new bZ4X will be able to use hundreds of fast-charging locations spread throughout the U.S.
Christopher Yang- vice president, EV Charging Solutions, Toyota Motor North America- states that the new all-electric bZ4X will be an important step towards electrifying 70% of their fleet by 2030, which aims to provide a seamless and worry-free ownership experience.
EVgo currently operates more than 800 fast chargers across the US and Toyota owners will be able to sign up for complimentary charging and locate stations via the Toyota App on their phones. The bZ4X will be the first vehicle to carry the automaker's new bZ badge, which stands for "Beyond Zero," and is used to designate its electrified vehicles.
The Pricing for the bZ4X has not yet been announced, but Toyota said it expects it to start between $37,000 and $40,000, Official EPA numbers are also likely to be released closer to the beginning of sales.
