Volvo's Entire 2023 Lineup is Electrified
There’s no escape from going electric now, each carmaker has made its plan and timeline, But the one that stands out is Volvo, with an all-electric 2023 lineup.
It doesn’t matter if the car was a hybrid or a full EV the main point is that all the models in Volvo’s 2023 lineup will be electrified.
The brand is taking its electrification plans seriously, overtaking every other major carmaker in their transition schedule. The end goal will be the transformation into a pure-electric brand by 2030.
Volvo is encouraged by the fact that its EV sales are up by 200% globally in the first quarter of this year. Even if the overall sales figures are down compared to last year’s numbers.
Another major statistic number that further boost Volvo’s confidence is that the EV share in the overall portfolio sales has already reached 38 percent. Well ahead of US carmakers who are currently working to reach 40 percent share by the year 2030.
However, it’s not all rosy out there, component shortages are expected to be a significant obstacle in the face of further growth. Despite that, Volvo doesn’t plan to slow down in its sprint toward the full electrification of the brand.
It’s worth noting that Volvo’s plans are not only about the reduction of the carbon footprint, the company is taking care of drivers too, as the cars are fitted with the latest and most advanced infotainment systems, featuring Google operating systems with a lot more customization possibilities and over-the-air software updates.
Coverking also is working hard to increase drivers’ comfort, by producing high-quality custom-made covers, made from the most robust materials, and capable of resisting spills, dust, and the high stress of daily use.
