WVVW t roc cabriolets new edition grey adds matt grey paint and a dash of exclusivity

WV launched a special edition of the T-Roc Cabriolet, the new edition maintains the distinguishable retractable roof and adds a new special gray-themed paint job.

The T-Roc Cabriolet is officially classified as an SUV, but the car-inspired roof makes things a little confusing. There’s no doubt that this unusual model has all the features of a conventional SUV, but what makes it really special is the car-like design approach that VW chose for it. Now, Volkswagen is aiming to shed new light on the T-Roc Cabriolet by launching the new “Edition Grey” model. The special edition has a long list of new special equipment, and we’re going to skim through the most important of them.

First, the carmaker is driving attention to its new matt clear coat covering the new Indium Grey shade on the car’s exterior. Volkswagen claims that the new coat has the same protective features as their regular one, in terms of ultraviolet radiation and hard material scratches. The special paint job is combined with the sporty R-Line body kit and black accents inside out.

The new T-Roc also comes standard with a set of black 18-inch Grange Hill wheels, a black rear spoiler, and IQ. Light LED matrix headlights, and the Discover Media infotainment system. In terms of safety and driving assistance, the car is equipped with the IQ. Drive ADAS suite with the semi-autonomous Travel Assist. The weird thing about the interior equipment is that WV still maintained the questionable and soon-to-be-phased-out touch-sensitive controls. Finally, for more comfort, the T-Roc has a heated steering wheel and a rearview camera

For more exclusivity, Volkswagen is also offering the “Edition Plus” package. Buyers who opt for this premium option will get 19-inch Suzuka wheels, the flagship Discover Pro infotainment, the BeatsAudio sound system, and the Adaptive Chassis Control (DCC) for the suspension. Every unit of this limited-edition T-Roc comes with its unique number carved on its sills, emphasizing its exclusivity.

In terms of motorization, the T-Roc comes with a front wheel setup, powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter petrol engine, making 148 hp (110 kW / 150 PS)., and a seven-speed DSG automatic.

Getting a gray edition T-Roc would set you back $49,443, or even $54,910 if you chose the “Edition Plus”, production will be limited to only 999 units, and deliveries will start in February 2023.
